Along with the snow adding a festive vibe to the online portion of the game, players are also able to have snowball fights with each other and fully experience the white blanket that has covered the entirety of the game’s map.
Snow usually starts to fall in GTA Online a week or so before Christmas, as part of the Festive Surprise event. However, even during that time, you may not always encounter snowfall. Rockstar has included snow in every instance of the Festive Surprise since then, and they even pranked players on April 1, 2020, by causing snow.
